Here we wish to introduce you to our Wickliffe Preachers so that when you pray for them you will have a clearer picture of who they are. You can also contact them directly by e-mail.

Peter Kinley Peter Kinley
Peter Kinley was born in 1950 on the Isle of Man and converted through the Christian Union while at agricultural college in Shropshire.

He studied for the ministry at the Kensit Memorial Bible College, London from 1976-79 and pastored Langley Baptist church in Essex from 1988-96. Peter was appointed a Wickliffe Preacher in 1998 since when his faithful ministry has opened to numerous openings in the East Anglia area.

He contributes a youth page to the society's magazine 'Protestant Truth' as well as being involved in preaching, lecturing, school assemblies etc.

* BILLY BRAY : THE GLORY MAN ~ The story of the conversion of the Cornish miner, and how God used him and honoured his faith.

WILLIAM CAREY ~ A look at the life and work of “the father of modern missions”.

* MARY JONES AND HER BIBLE ~ How Mary saved so long and hard to buy a Bible. Her story led to the founding of the British and Foreign Bible Society.

* GEORGE MÜLLER : FRIEND OF ORPHANS ~ The man of faith and prayer who opened homes for orphans in Bristol.

* ELIZABETH FRY ~ The story pf the well-to-do Quaker lady who became a prison reformer.

SHAFTESBURY : THE WILBERFORCE OF THE WHITES ~ An address looking at the life and times of the 7th Earl of Shaftesbury, 1801-1885. A man for our times.

J. C. RYLE : THE MAN OF GRANITE WITH THE HEART OF A CHILD ~ Ryle spent many years ministering in Suffolk before becoming Bishop of Liverpool, so there is a local interest to one of Anglicanism’s truly great men. Can be illustrated with slides.

THE HYMNS OF MARTIN LUTHER ~ The reformer wrote some magnificent hymns, and has something to teach us about modern hymnody.

YIELDING TO THE DEMANDS OF LOVE – A CHALLENGE TO US FROM THE MARTYRS OF EAST ANGLIA ~ An attempt to show that the same commitment is required from Bible believing Christians today.

A DAY TRIP TO THE ISLE OF MAN ~ A “tour” of the Island by means of slides. Brief description and with spiritual comment. Has evangelistic content.

A CHRISTIAN APPROACH TO NON-CHRISTIAN RELIGIONS ~ How should we think of religions and their adherents? Is there only one way of salvation? What of those who have never heard the gospel?

JOHN ELIOT : “APOSTLE TO THE INDIANS” ~ An account of the Puritan’s pioneering missionary labours amongst the Algonquin Indians of North America.
Please note that the addresses marked with an * can be adapted for children’s work, each being divided into several lessons if required. Worksheets and coloured OHP slides are available.
