We
seem to be living in a period of tremendous challenge for Christians.
There is the threat of terrorist violence, continuing insurgency
in Iraq, tension between Israel and the Palestinians, and new laws
in our country that cannot but change the nature of our society.
We share these challenges with those who are not Christians. The
difference lies in the response we make to them as followers of
the Lord Jesus Christ. There is also unrest in our national Church
which has its effect to a greater or lesser extent on the whole
evangelical constituency. In these circumstances it is a great blessing to rest on the unchanging
nature of our God and the truth He has revealed to us in His Word
as we face these challenges. The material in the magazine can help
us understand our position better as it looks back to John Hooper,
reports on our work in the past year, informs about present trends
and looks forward to what we hope to accomplish in the immediate
future. Originally published in January - February 2005
