Imagine
you are growing up in an eighteenth century village high up in the
Yorkshire Moors. Times are very hard; you have to work long hours
for the basics in life, and disease and death are all around you.
This is the life of Tom Whittaker, a fictional character, but through
whose eyes we can know something of the amazing real-life events
that occurred when William Grimshaw became his curate.
